We are a church that believes in being Known for Our Love. Serving Others at the core of who we should be as Followers of Jesus and it should be at the core of who we are as People. Our church will monthly do a Service Project or Outreach in our Community. We are a church about Hope and this is a practical way we can share the Hope of Jesus with those around us. Our church believes that you should not do Life Alone. Our church is about real relationships that will last a lifetime. There is always Room for One More person, One More Relationship. We are a group of people that Do Life Together. Through Authenticity, Transparency, Vulnerability, and Unity we all grow. Do these words scare you? Yes? Great, then we aren’t alone because they scare us too. Come be a part of a community of people who together are trying to leave an imprint on this world.

Our belief is that everyone has an inner desire to ‘do good’ in the world. What most people lack is the opportunity to actually do something. Being a person of Generosity is not signing up to be a person living in Poverty. It’s signing up to be a person who does their part to make a difference both locally and globally. We can all do something. Yesterday that may have meant helping someone change a tire, today it could be mowing your neighbor’s lawn, and tomorrow that may mean giving financially to help a family in Haiti have clean water for a week. Being people who are generous with their time, energy, and finances means we commit to living a life focused on whats best for others.

theANCHORchurch is all about making connections with God and with each other, and as the main gathering of our church community, the Sunday Experience is at the core of ANCHOR life. Don’t do life alone: join us every Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:30, at the Lawrence Regal Southwind Theater (3433 Iowa St, Lawrence).
At each Sunday experience, we have a band playing modern worship music, one of our pastors, Alex or Brooke, giving a meaningful, motivational talk, and fun educational activities for your kids. We also serve coffee, and opportunity for you to get to know more members of the ANCHOR community.
(The Sunday experience lasts approximately 70 minutes)
